Beat Bedlington in the Blake Cup (the Northumberland County Schools Competition). The Blyth side were unbeaten in competitions that season, only losing the first match of the season 4-2 which was a friendly against Bedlington.


The trophies are, left to right: Tyneside Grammar and Technical Schools Shield (shared with Washington Grammar School), Fred Mitchell Cup (Blyth schools), Blake Cup (Northumberland schools) and the Hyde Shield (Blyth schools league).


Other players that season were Len Mole, Jim Elliott and John Baugh. The team scored 108 goals in 25 games with Pearson getting 62 and Bell and Chilton 10 each. The photograph was sent by John Clinton of Bywell Road, Cleadon Village, Sunderland.
